Key Church People
After studying the position of the priest as a class, you are now to form groups of 3-4 and will be allocated from one of the following key Church people:
- Pope (new pope is Pope Francis)
- Archbishop
- Bishop
- Deacon
- Nun
- Brother
- Monk
Please note that these names have a link attached. Click your key person and be directed to a website relating to your area to help in your research.
After choosing a person, you will then research these areas and answer the following questions and present them on a poster:
1. Do they have any official titles?
2. What role do they play?
3. Do they govern a particular area? If so, what?
4. What do they wear? (Include a photo)
5. What are some symbols associated with this figure?
6. How do they gain this position?
7. (If applicable) How are they elected?
8. Name two well known people of this role and why were/are they so significant? (Include photos)
Be sure to be CREATIVE use PHOTOS and include a BIBLIOGRAPHY. Be sure to include information in your OWN words.
